From the very first moment this sweet girl arrived at our McLean, Virginia studio, it was clear this session was going to be something truly special. Kayla was an absolute angel — peaceful, content and perfectly snuggly throughout every setup. As a newborn photographer serving families throughout Northern Virginia and the DC Metro area, sessions like this remind me exactly why I love what I do.
A Dreamy Floral Newborn Session in McLean, VA
We began Kayla's session with one of my absolute favorite setups — a soft blush pink wrap paired with the most gorgeous fresh tulips in shades of pink, purple and white. The delicate floral headband added the perfect finishing touch, making little Kayla look like she was sleeping in her very own garden. This setup is a perennial favorite among Northern Virginia families and it's easy to see why — there is something so timeless and romantic about a baby girl surrounded by fresh blooms.
Soft Neutrals and Timeless Details
For our second setup we went with the softest neutrals — a creamy white wrap, delicate lace textures and a beautiful wooden crate lined with the coziest layers. Little Kayla's tiny hands peeking out from her wrap are the kind of detail that makes a mother's heart melt. At Tiny Bliss Photography we pay close attention to every prop and texture, ensuring each setup feels intentional, warm and unique to your baby.
Pretty in Purple and Lavender
One of the things I love most about photographing baby girls is the incredible variety of color palettes we can explore in a single session. For Kayla we transitioned into the most beautiful lavender and purple tones — a soft wrap, a wicker basket lined with chunky knit, and a dreamy watercolor floral backdrop in the most perfect shade of lilac. Paired with tiny purple wildflowers the result was absolutely breathtaking.
The Floral Garden Setup
Our studio's signature macrame bed surrounded by cascading pink roses and lush greenery is always a showstopper. For Kayla we filled every corner with pink peonies, roses and soft white florals creating the most magical garden scene. And that tiny pink teddy bear she is holding? Pure magic. These are the images that become treasured wall art in family homes throughout Northern Virginia for generations to come.
Precious Family Moments
No newborn session is complete without capturing the love of the entire family. Kayla's parents and her two beautiful big sisters joined us for the sweetest family portraits on our clean white backdrop. The way mom and baby were nose to nose, the look of wonder on dad's face, the big sisters dressed in the most coordinated floral outfits — every single frame tells a story of a family completely head over heels for their newest little addition.
