The Woodland Theme: Our Little Forest Explorer

We started Cassian's session with one of our most beloved setups — a lush woodland theme featuring deep forest greens, natural ferns, and a cozy rattan basket. Cassian was dressed in the most adorable sage green romper with gold suspenders and a matching elf hat, nestled in beside his little crocheted teddy bear.

Doesn't he look like he belongs right in an enchanted forest? 🌿 Those tiny feet peeking out, that little elf hat flopped to the side — honestly, we could stare at this image all day.

Future CEO: The Most Adorable Boss Baby Setup

Okay, can we talk about this setup for a second?! Cassian sat in his miniature chair with a tiny laptop on his lap, surrounded by the cutest little props — a mini piano, a bookshelf with a baseball and radio, and his teddy bear sitting in a little wicker chair nearby.

This is what makes newborn photography so magical. We're not just taking pictures of a sleeping baby — we're creating a whole tiny world for them. And this little guy looked like he was absolutely running things from day one. 😂

After our more playful setups, we transitioned into a classic, timeless blue theme that is always a favorite for baby boys. Cassian wore a soft blue knit outfit with a matching pom-pom hat and was nestled on a tiny white iron bed with a navy pillow — set against a beautiful weathered teal wood backdrop.

We got the most precious sleeping shots — and then he decided to open those big dark eyes and stare right into our hearts. 💙 That wide-eyed awake image is pure gold!

Wrapped in Blue: The Sweetest Little Bundle

There is something so timeless about a beautifully swaddled newborn, and Cassian's blue wrap shots did not disappoint. Cozy in a round basket lined with chunky blue knit, wrapped snug with his little hands peeking out and his white teddy bear by his side — this setup is everything.

We also love pairing blue florals in the background to add a soft, dreamy touch without taking away from the baby as the star of the show.

The Details: Ten Perfect Little Toes

We always make sure to capture the tiny details that grow and change so fast — and nothing melts a mama's heart quite like a close-up of those brand new baby feet. Cassian's little toes peeking out from his swaddle wrap are perfection in black and white.

And then came the moment that had everyone in the studio in awe — big sister meeting her baby brother at the rattan bassinet. Dressed in the most beautiful white lace tutu dress, she gazed down at little Cassian with the most tender, gentle expression.

This is why we always encourage sibling photos during newborn sessions. The bond between brothers and sisters is one of the most precious things we get to photograph, and capturing it in these very first days is something your family will treasure forever.

The Whole Family Together

We ended the session with gorgeous family portraits — mama in a stunning floral maxi dress, big sister in her pink tutu, and little Cassian snuggled safely in mama's arms. The clean white studio backdrop keeps the focus exactly where it belongs: on this beautiful family in one of the most precious moments of their lives.

We also captured the most beautiful intimate moment — mama cradling Cassian while looking down at him with so much love. That quiet, peaceful connection between a mother and her brand new baby is something we are always so honored to document.
