From the moment this little guy arrived at our McLean, Virginia studio, we knew his gallery was going to be something special. Mom had a beautiful vision: shades of blue, warm brown, and soft cream. And Asher delivered in every single setup.

The Blue Setup: A Classic for Baby Boys

We started Asher's session with one of my favorite color palettes for a baby boy — rich navy and slate blue paired with chunky knit textures and warm wooden props. Asher was wrapped snug in a deep blue swaddle with a matching fuzzy bonnet, nestled into a basket lined with a blue chunky knit blanket and a tiny velvet pillow.

He gave us the most precious sleepy poses — and then decided to open those gorgeous eyes and look right into the camera like he owned the place. 💙 Both the sleeping and awake images from this setup are absolutely stunning.

The Brown Setup: Warm, Cozy, and Timeless

Next we moved into our warm brown theme — one of the most timeless looks for a newborn boy session. Asher was dressed in a soft brown knit romper and matching bonnet with the most adorable little bear ears, curled up peacefully in a wicker basket on a fluffy white fur rug set against a rich dark wood backdrop.

This setup never goes out of style. The warmth of the brown tones against Asher's perfect skin is everything. We also captured the most beautiful close up detail shot of his tiny hands folded over his wrap — the kind of image that makes a mama's heart stop.

The Blue Romper Setup: Sweet Dreams on the Mini Bed

One of my absolute favorite setups of Asher's entire session was our little white mini bed scene. Asher wore the softest blue knit romper with a coordinating striped stocking hat, lying on his side on a tiny white bed with cream pillows against a weathered teal wood backdrop.

He smiled in his sleep — and I caught it. 😍 That little smirk is pure magic and one of those moments you simply cannot plan. This is why I always tell families that every session at Tiny Bliss Photography is unhurried and guided entirely by baby.

The Moon and Stars: Our Most Magical Setup

And then there was this. Asher curled up in our crescent moon prop, dressed in a blue knit romper with wooden buttons and a coordinating pom-pom stocking hat, set against the most dreamy watercolor sky backdrop filled with stars and a golden crescent moon.

This is one of my signature styled setups here at my McLean VA studio and it never gets old. The combination of the whimsical backdrop, the soft blue tones, and Asher's perfectly peaceful face made for some of the most breathtaking images of the entire session. This is the kind of image that gets framed above a nursery and stays there for years.

The Details: Ten Perfect Little Toes

We always make time for the tiny details that change so fast — and Asher's little toes peeking out from his blue fuzzy wrap are absolutely perfect. These close up detail shots are some of the most treasured images from any newborn session. Years from now, you will barely believe they were ever this small.

Big Brother Stole the Show

We ended the session with Asher's big brother — and honestly, this is where my heart completely melted. Big brother was so gentle, so proud, and so completely in love with his new baby brother from the very first moment. We captured the most beautiful sibling portraits together in soft cream tones — lying side by side, big brother cradling Asher close, and just soaking in this brand new bond.

These are the images that will hang on their walls for years. The sibling connection captured in those very first days of life is something truly irreplaceable.
